Glo rewards promo winners as lawmaker makes case for job creation

An export trader, Afeez Oseni, has emerged winner of a brand new Kia Rio car at the presentation of prizes to winners in Glo’s customer appreciation promo, Joy Unlimited Extravaganza.

An export trader, Afeez Oseni, has emerged winner of a brand new Kia Rio car at the presentation of prizes to winners in Glo’s customer appreciation promo, Joy Unlimited Extravaganza.
   
Expressing his excitement, 38-year-old Oseni, said, “I did not believe it. I was told by Glo customer care that I won a car in the promo and it was not until it was presented to me that I believed it was real. He said:Glo has blessed me, a clearing agent of imported used cars with a brand new car, which happens to be my first car. It is indeed a big surprise. To God be the glory”.
  
Apart from the car winner, about64 lucky subscribers won home appliances including fridges, power generators and television sets in Lagos.
  


Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikeja Constituency II, Adedamola Kasunmu speaking at the presentation ceremony in Lagos, urged the company to offer more employment opportunities to youths.
   
He also called on lawmakers to encourage and support corporate firms so they can keep giving to the community.
   
Kasunmu called for more Corporate Service Responsibility (CSR) and branding for people, especially in the Ikeja constituency, adding that they have a lot of talents that can serve as brand ambassadors for such firms. He added that as lawmakers, they would continue to use the instrument of law making to provide firms with a thriving environment.

The Regional Sales Manager, Globacom, Akinsola Williams, said that the Joy Unlimited Extravaganza promotion was in furtherance of the company’s commitment and appreciation of its subscribers.
  
He noted that up to 500,000prizes would be won by the firm’s subscribers from now to the end of January, adding that the event, held yesterday was done simultaneously in Edo state.
  
“New subscribers will also be awarded N1000 airtime at their first recharge,’’ he said.
  
Deputy Director, National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mrs. Priscilla Onuzulu, congratulated the winners and commended Glo for keeping to its promise.
