John Onuorah on leveraging fintech experience for growth
Top Performance and Growth Marketer, Onuorah John Chidozie, better known as John Onuorah, has shed light on the influence and capacity he has garnered through his fintech experience at Gigbanc, a financial technology firm.
With over six years of experience, John Onuorah has built a remarkable career, working with notable brands across various industries, including Edukoya (Edutech), Garmspot (fashion e-commerce), Peppa (e-commerce), Gigbanc (fintech), and currently, FoodCourt.
John Onuorah’s experience in driving growth and optimising campaigns has been refined through his diverse professional journey. He began his career in digital marketing before venturing into performance and growth marketing, a critical aspect of measuring success for commercial entities. Starting in Edutech, he expanded his expertise to e-commerce, tackling dynamic challenges related to consumer preferences, demand drivers, and growth stimulation.
Data plays a pivotal role in measuring the effectiveness of strategies. John Onuorah emphasises the essence and application of data in his daily tasks and highlights how he acquired proficiency. “Gigbanc taught me the importance of data-driven decision-making and the need for precise targeting in marketing. I have learned to be adaptable, to prioritise data-driven decision-making, and to always keep the customer in mind. My day involves analysing data, optimising campaigns, brainstorming new strategies, and collaborating with the team to drive growth. My priorities are understanding customer behaviour, identifying areas for improvement, and leveraging data to inform decisions,” he said.
As a data expert, John Onuorah utilises a combination of Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and attribution tools like Appsflyer and Segment to measure data. He is already projecting into the future, recognising the inevitable role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in data mining and its application in marketing and strategy.
“I see performance marketing becoming even more data-driven and automated. I’m preparing by staying up-to-date with industry trends and developing my skills in marketing automation and AI,” John Onuorah stated.
