Global leader in skills and talent development, NIIT has announced the 17th national scholarship scheme in Nigeria to reward meritorious student desirous of building successful carriers in today’s knowledge economy.

For the first time ever, the scholarships will also be offered for futuristic cutting-edge programs in digital transformation under digiNxt series. NIIT will now offer scholarships in programs like digiNxt MMS; Big Data; Java Enterprise Apps with Dev Ops, Digital Marketing, apart from revolutionary MMS and other programs. These programs have been introduced by NIIT with a profound understanding of the changing manpower requirement of the global and Nigerian IT industry.

This year, the scholarship test will be held on July 16, across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, President, Global Skills and Career Group, NIIT Ltd, Prakash Menon, said, over the last 17 years the body has created a pool of job-ready professionals, for the fast growing IT industry in Nigeria.

“With our keen understanding of the changing skills requirement of the industry we are now focusing on the digital transformation needs of the country. The company will now offer futuristic programs in digiNxt MMs, Big Data Java Enterpriser apps with Dev-ops and Digital Marketing to create a talent pool armed with futuristic skill-sets aligned to the industry.

NIIT will also launch state-of-the-art programme in financial accounting titled: “Tally.ERP9” in Nigeria. This programme, according to the body, is a robust ERP product and a complete business management solution tool.
