TechyJaunt: Building a Pan-African Ecosystem Connecting Digital Skills, Innovation, and Employment

TechyJaunt is advancing its mission to bridge Africa’s technology skills gap by connecting aspiring tech professionals with digital education, mentorship, and employment opportunities.

Despite Africa’s growing pool of young people eager to pursue careers in technology, access to experienced industry professionals and qualified mentors remains a challenge. This gap often limits aspiring talents’ ability to acquire practical skills, industry knowledge, and the guidance needed to thrive in the global technology ecosystem.

TechyJaunt is addressing this challenge through technology training programmes, mentorship initiatives, and educational webinars designed to equip participants with relevant, in-demand digital skills.

Over the past three years, the organisation has recorded nine successful cohorts and trained more than 12,000 individuals in technology disciplines, including data analytics, UI/UX design, product management, web development, front-end and back-end development, and blockchain development.

These programmes aim to prepare participants for employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, and participation in the global digital economy. Technology skills are not limited to geographical boundaries, so Africans can access career and business opportunities beyond the continent

For the future, TechyJaunt plans to expand its reach to underserved communities, providing more Africans with access to quality technology education and mentorship.

Through these efforts, TechyJaunt aims to build a more connected Pan-African technology ecosystem where digital skills are accessible to all, so Africans can compete at a global level.
