As part of initiative targeted at harnessing young technology talents in Africa and other part of the globe, Techpoint has concluded plans to host quarterly gathering of tech enthusiasts.

In validating the timely essence for such initiative as Techpoint, Chief Executive Officer Techpoint Africa, Adewale Yusuf, said that one of the major ways that the continent will participate in the fourth industrial revolution is by providing the world with the finest tech talents, “hence, the need to create a community of African talents even in the Diaspora.”

Recall that on November 14, 2018, Techpoint, in partnership with TechStars, hosted the first African tech talent meetup in Europe. 24 participants attended the meet-up and about 80 per cent of the participants were software engineers working in Europe, mostly Berlin, Germany.

Yusuf stressed that the aim was to create a social hub, wherein tech talents from different European countries can hangout and basically share a sense of common objective.

He said the platform would also serve as a channel to discuss ideas across boarder line for the growth of tech in Africa, by building up upcoming talents in the continent.

The event is billed to be a quarterly meetup, which will be hosted soon in Canada and different European countries.
