The eminent Nigerians spoke, yesterday, at the 8th yearly public lecture of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria tagged: ‘National Security Challenges: Youth Neglect.’
Chairman and CEO of Channels Media Group, John Momoh, who was the chairman of the occasion, noted that neglect of the youths might be the prime reason for the country’s security challenges.
On his part, Obi said the topic of the lecture was apt as the country is in a critical time. He said lack of good governance is to blame for the pervasive insecurity.
Representing Governor Kayode Fayemi, Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Ayodele Jinadu, said all hands must be on deck to solve the challenge.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mrs. Solabomi Sasore, said the insecurity was as a result of neglect of the youth.
