Lerato Lekena-Okoro, an entrepreneur, said she targets changing the landscape of real estate investment in Nigeria with a community-driven multipurpose society, Real Estate Dominoes Society.

With a passion for helping others, Lerato said the aim is to empower middle-income earners by providing accessible real estate investment opportunities and building a strong community of investors.

“Real Estate Dominoes Society collaborates with individuals who are seeking investment options in real estate but find it difficult to purchase these properties due to budget constraints,” she said.

Lerato noted that she recognizes the growing housing deficit in African communities, particularly in Nigeria, and how they present a unique opportunity for investors so sought to address this issue by creating a collaborative approach to real estate investment.

In a recent press engagement in Lagos, Lerato shared her thoughts on the housing deficit, accessing affordable property challenges in Nigeria amongst others.

“We established Real Estate Dominoes Society to provide the collaborative vehicle for investors to be able to access viable investment opportunities. a range of services that include real estate brokerage, portfolio strategy mapping, joint venture brokerage projects, and turnkey property development. Our core vision is to ensure that property purchase is made available and affordable for any budget,” she said.

Through her Agency business – Lerato and Adams which provides a range of services that include real estate brokerage, portfolio strategy mapping, joint venture brokerage projects, and turnkey property development; Lerato said she has successfully managed and sold numerous developments across Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan. Most notably, she worked on a turnkey project in Sangotedo, which comprises 22 units of 2-bed flats that are now active as rental units.

She stated that her breakthrough moment came when she obtained her license for the Dominoes Society and formed a partnership with a developer in Sangotedo to pilot the co-investment opportunity with select units. This success, she said, solidified her belief that Real Estate Dominoes Society had the potential to thrive and make a lasting impact on the real estate market.

Lerato further revealed she’s constantly striving to create innovative solutions that meet client’s needs. Lerato’s motivation also stems from the achieved end goal of each opportunity, envisioning the positive impact it will have on the lives of investors.
