As the country is faced with economic hardship, Nigerians have been urged to assist and come to the aid of the less privileged and the downtrodden.

The planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide Prophet Sam Olu Alo spoke after presenting millions of naira worth of bags of rice to the people of Ido-Osi local government area of Ekiti state.

Some 200, fifty kilograms bags of rice worth about 15 million naira were presented to communities and groups.

The beneficiaries are Ido Ekiti, Ifaki-Ekiti, Ayetoro-Ekiti, Osi -Ekiti, Usi -Ekiti, Ilogbo-Ekiti, Aye-Ekiti, Orin-Ekiti, Igbole-Ekiti, Ifisin -Ekiti Oke Ora-Ekiti, Odo-Ora-Ekiti, Ilogun-Ekiti, Temidire-Ekiti, Alo Family in Ido-Ekiti, Ado Church, Akure Church, Ogombo Church, Ikotun Church, Abeokuta Church. King and Mosques.

The renowned man also extended the kind gesture to a part of the Ijero local government area of the state.

Olu Alo said helping the poor at this present time will not only ensure that they have something to eat but also resume criminal acts to the barest minimum in the society.

The cleric who was represented by his personal assistant, Hon. Ayodeji Ogunbusuyi, I said “What we are doing is because of the economic condition and hardship people are currently going through in the country.

“Prophet Olu Alo has deemed it fit to assist the less privileged and the downtrodden in the society especially at the grassroots. He instructed us to get some bags of rice and distributed it to the people in all town and communities in Ido-Osi local government area of Ekiti state.

“Distribution of the food item which started on yesterday will be for the less privileged in the local government, to the traditional rulers, Muslims to assist them during the ongoing Ramadan fast period.

“Widows and the aged in the communities have also been listed as beneficiaries.

Advising Nigerians, “Ogunbusuyi said at the this time when the economic situation is biting hard on the people and the people were finding it difficult to feed, I am imploring the well to do Nigerians whom God has blessed to come to the aid of their people.

“We have many people in the society that could not feed themselves and their families, it is this period that one can give out of what God has given to you to assist them. In doing that , the society will be better and the rate of crime will be minimized.”

Meanwhile, traditional rulers in the local council and beyond have showered encomium on the renowned man of God.

Olojudo of Ido Faboro-Ekiti, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, while speaking on the presentation, appreciated the cleric for his kind gesture.

Oba Ilori-Faboro who is the Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers said, “I am very grateful because he remembers home, of course he remembers home all the time because this is not the first time, he always send things home”.

The monarch added that that Olu Alo who is an indigene of the town looks after them in the community on monthly basis.

“Everybody, all the chiefs in town, the widows, the less privileged. He pays indigent students school fees, during festive periods he give out clothes, food items, empowerment for the artisans with working equipment. For the youths , he encourages them and has been so supportive to the town This is a trademark.”

Oba Ilori-Faboro who described the man of God as a beacon of light in the community and the state said the gesture is worthy of emulation

“Every well meaning Nigerians should remember the the less privileged at this moment. We don’t ask him for anything but he does all of these out of his free will. So Prophet Olu Alo is God sent to this generation and I can only pray that God will continue to increase his fortunes, lift up his ministry, empower him to do more and bless him with long life and prosperity.”

Also speaking about the Prophet, the Owalogbo of Ilogbo Ekiti, Oba (Dr) E. O Ajayi thanked Prophet Olu Alo for remembering the poor people at this particular time.

“We are only lucky to be counted by God as at this time. The only luck we have got is with Christ and with Christ all things are possible. It is God favour that is sustaining us at this particular time in Nigeria only God knows where we would have been.

“For the Prophet to remember the people at this time, it his historical. May God continue to bless him.”

The Oba urged the people and the government to support the less privileged.

The Alayetoro of Ayetoro Ekiti, Oba Samuel Ajayi said Prophet Sam Olu Alo has been doing wonderfully in terms of community development, reaching out spiritually to the people of Ido-Osi local government and the state at large.

“In terms of empowering the less privileged as well as providing enabling environment for our youths especially the students to really develop their potentials. So giving palliative to the downtrodden is a very welcome development and we as a community appreciate him
It is our prayer that the God almighty he is serving will continue to be with him and his ministry will continue to wax stronger .

“Thing are getting terrible and I want to advice to the well meaning people is to always thing about helping the les privileged in our society. There are a lot of people who cannot afford two square meals in a day. People are really suffering, they are not sure of where there next meal will come from. Those that God has entrusted some resources to should assist and reachout to the poor like Prophet Olu Alo has been doing and give them succour.”

On his part, the Onikun of Temidire Ekiti in Ijero local government area of the state, Oba Moses Olunlade Fabusuyi thanked God for the life of Prophet Olu Alo.

According to the monarch, “He is has been doing this for a very long time . He is a chosen servant of God of our time who always think about others . My prayers is that God almighty will continue to bless him more and more. It is common to see people doing this.

“He is a close son to me and God has been using him to reach out to the people.out of what God has give to him. Last year, he built a block of class rooms for a secondary school in my community.
