Students of Community Senior High School, Wasimi, Ikeja, have been encouraged to be focused in their studies and disciplined in their conduct.
The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9111 comprising Lagos and Ogun States, Dr Wole Kukoyi, gave the advice at the unveiling of outstanding student roll of honour plaque and billboard in the school premises.
Kukoyi, who also condemned bullying and other deviant behaviours among students, was accompanied by President, Rotary club of Maryland, Olalekan Olubajo and other members of the club.
During the event, the club also visited the school library, which Olubajo promised to turn into a state-of-art library as well as upgrade the school’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centre.
Senior Registrar, Department of Family Medicine, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Dr Aremu Iyinoluwa, lectured the students on menstrual hygiene and sickle cell disease. Free sanitary pads were distributed to female students by the club after the lecture.
