Gospel Choir has recorded 42% of listeners between ages 18 to 24, while 25% are 25-29 years in the last 12 months.

Gospel choirs have long been powerful incubators of musical talent, nurturing voices that often go on to shape the broader music industry.

Gospel choirs are not just breeding grounds for future stars, but also the heart of worship music.

From local church gatherings to grand cathedrals, choirs have traditionally been the backbone of Christian musical expression.

Now in the age of digital streaming, gospel choirs are finding new ways to spread the message and melodies beyond their physical confines.

According to data obtained from Spotify, Joyous Celebration, Spirit of Praise, Spirit & Theophilus Sunday, Lejwe La Motheo Artists Development, Universal Khathisma Apostolic Church In Zion, Isaac And The Mighty Messengers, Loveworld Singers, Universal Catholic Church Choir, Worship House and Tshwane Gospel Choir are the most streamed choir across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) in the last 12 months.

Spirit & Theophilus Sunday, Loveworld Singers, Maverick City Music, Team Eternity Ghana, and the Spirituals are the most streamed choirs in Nigeria in the last 12 months.

Male listeners dominate gospel choir streams in Nigeria, accounting for 58 per cent of the audience compared to 42 per cent of female listeners
