The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) reiterated its commitment to promoting policies that foster peace and progress among members across the country.

MULAN President, Saidu Muhd Tudun-Wada, gave the assurance on Wednesday while unveiling the Kogi State branch of the body in Lokoja.

Barrister Tudun-Wada expressed satisfaction over the progressive expansion of the body across the Federation and added that steps are being taken to initiate programs that will bring about prosperity.

He applauded the Muslim lawyers in Kogi State for pulling the strength that finally saw the dream of floating the state branch of MULAN become a reality.

“At the national level of this great association, we have the resolve and we are resolute in our desire for a new MULAN. Let me reaffirm that we will summon every will to initiate policies and programs that will bring about peace, progress, and prosperity in our association,” he said.

The president saluted the courage, determination, and doggedness of “Muslim colleagues” who, despite the very lean resources available to MULAN, have kept faith with their vision of seeing to the creation of the new branch. He therefore congratulated every Kogi indigene, especially the Muslims, on the achievement.

According to him, the national body will continue to collaborate with every branch and any individual, group, or agency whose aim is the advancement of MULAN, our Islamic norms, ideals, principles, and values.

He, however, urged members to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the branch through active participation in different committees and programs of the branch towards raising the lustre of the branch in the community of MULAN.

The MULAN president reminded members that it is necessary for the new branch to always uphold the constitution and the enabling by-laws of MULAN and to implement programs that will bring about massive developmental impacts to the affairs of the branch, especially the welfare of members.
