The Seamoriow Group, led by its Chairman, Amos Oluwaseyi, is preparing for the fifth edition of its annual Seamoriow New Year Praise. This year’s event is set to take place on Sunday, 26th January 2025, at the Seamoriow Sports Complex. Since its inception in 2021, the New Year Praise has become a significant gathering, marking the beginning of the year with thanksgiving and communal worship.
The inspiration for the event comes from a deeply personal chapter in the life of Amos Oluwaseyi, who shared his story of faith and resilience:

“In 2020, I was at the lowest point in my life. All hope was lost; shame and mockery of men stared directly at me. Tears couldn’t solve the problem. The nights became too long. Money couldn’t do much, and help ceased. But God arose as in Mount Perazim. He did His work, His strange work, and brought to pass His strange acts in my life. I couldn’t contain the joy of restoration alone, hence the birth of the New Year Praise and Thanksgiving service.”
This year’s event promises a vibrant celebration, hosted by renowned Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola, who will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Attendees will enjoy performances from an impressive lineup of gospel artists, including Korede Emmanuel, known for his worship songs; Olabest, whose music uplifts and inspires; Grace Idowu, a vocalist with a powerful presence; and Funmi Sax, a saxophonist celebrated for her captivating instrumental artistry.

Chairman Oluwaseyi underscored the event’s significance as a movement of gratitude and hope. “The Seamoriow New Year Praise is more than an event; it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness. It reminds us to start the year with gratitude, trusting in God’s power to do the extraordinary,” he said.
The Seamoriow New Year Praise has become a cherished tradition, uniting families and individuals in worship and praise. The Seamoriow Group invites all to participate in this transformative gathering, bringing friends and loved ones to embrace the joy of a new year filled with divine possibilities.
