Alliance empowers over 30,000 women, youths in Ogun

The Alliance for Kamosky, a coalition of friends and supporters of Alhaji Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, Personal Assistant to the President on Special Duties, has extended its empowerment programme to local government areas across Ogun State.

So far, over 30,000 women and youths have been trained in vocational skills, with plans to reach more participants in Oja Odan, Imasayi, Ipokia, and other communities.

Taiwo Rahinat, an advocate of women’s empowerment, commended Yusuf and Dr. Abdul-Lateef Sulaiman for their grassroots initiatives, saying the programme complements efforts to make youths self-reliant and job creators.

Beneficiaries received training in soap making, tie-and-dye, hairdressing, shoemaking, and other skills. One trainee said, “I have learned shoemaking, which will benefit me in many ways. I don’t need to go to a cobbler again since I have been equipped with the requisite training.”
