Aide condoles Ododo over father’s death

The Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Deep Grassroots Mobilization, Hon. Onuche David Excel Wealth, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Ododo, the father of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.

In a condolence message issued on Thursday in Lokoja, David extended heartfelt sympathies to the Governor and the entire Ododo family, describing the deceased as a loss not just to his family but to the entire state.

He paid glowing tribute to the late patriarch, describing him as “a quintessential leader, a respected community elder, and a man of sterling character whose life was dedicated to God, humanity, and the upliftment of society.”

According to him, the news of the demise came as a rude shock to many across Kogi State who held the late community leader in high regard for his humility, discipline, and wisdom.

He highlighted the profound influence of the deceased on Governor Ododo’s life, noting that “Papa’s transition is indeed a painful one. He was more than just a father to His Excellency; he was a mentor, a guide, and a moral compass who instilled in his children and those around him the values of integrity, honesty, and selfless service.”

While acknowledging the grief, the SSA emphasized that the late elder lived a life worthy of celebration and urged the Governor and his family to find solace in the enduring legacy he left behind.

“At moments like this, words may not completely heal the pains of such a great loss. But we must all find comfort in the fact that Papa lived a fulfilled life anchored on godliness, community development, and the pursuit of peace,” he stated.

He offered prayers of strength and comfort to the Governor and his family. “On behalf of myself, my family, and my office, I join millions of Kogites in mourning this great loss. May the Lord comfort you all and grant you the fortitude to carry on Papa’s shining legacy,” he said.
