The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), Mohammed Sheidu, has commended EIB Group for its innovative indigenous technologies, describing them as critical to strengthening Nigeria’s internal security architecture.
Sheidu gave the commendation during a strategic visit to EIB Group’s facilities in Abuja, where he led a high-level delegation to the Group’s operational hubs in Kuje and Idu. The delegation was received by the Chairman of EIB Group, Dr Bright Echefu, alongside senior executives.
During the tour, Dr Echefu showcased a range of locally developed solutions designed to enhance security operations, intelligence gathering, and national development. The delegation observed the advanced surveillance and security systems of EiB Stratoc, as well as the forensic and data intelligence services of Giga Forensics, which support modern investigative and evidence-based policing.
At Briech UAS, engineers demonstrated the design, manufacture, and deployment of unmanned aerial systems, including surveillance and payload drones used for reconnaissance, monitoring, and operational support. The visitors also toured Poctova, EIB Group’s protective-wear and fashion subsidiary, which produces ballistic protective gear alongside ready-to-wear apparel.
The NPTF officials further inspected the Group’s media and communications infrastructure, noting its capacity for technology-driven content production and strategic communications.
Speaking after the tour, Sheidu described the facilities as “highly impressive,” praising Dr Echefu and his team for delivering world-class, homegrown solutions capable of enhancing law enforcement effectiveness.
He stressed the importance of leveraging indigenous innovation to address Nigeria’s security challenges and disclosed that the Nigeria Police Trust Fund would explore avenues for deeper collaboration with EIB Group.
“The scale, sophistication, and professionalism of what we have seen here are commendable. There is significant potential for partnership that can strengthen policing and improve security outcomes nationwide,” Sheidu said.
He also revealed plans for a follow-up visit to enable a more comprehensive technical assessment of the Group’s capabilities.
The visit concluded with interactive sessions between NPTF officials and EIB Group’s management team, focusing on strategic partnerships, capacity building, and long-term cooperation aimed at improving security delivery and national development.
Under the leadership of Dr Bright Echefu, EIB Group continues to expand its footprint in security technology, aerospace systems, forensic intelligence, protective equipment, and media communications, positioning itself as a leading hub for indigenous innovation in Nigeria.
