The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on Thursday felicitated with the Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on his 89th birthday.

Sulu-Gambari described Obasanjo as a “living legend, patriot, elderstateman, and global citizen with tremendous records of global peace advocacy.”

In a goodwill message issued by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the traditional ruler disclosed that “His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo GCFR is widely renowned and admired for his exceptional, long-lasting achievements in nation-bulding and peaceful coexistence advocacy, promotion of inter-religious and inter-cultural harmony as well as inspiring role model to many global leaders and aspiring democrats in Nigeria.”

The monarch thanked the celebrant for always identifying with Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large at all times.

He stressed that: “the entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council heartily celebrate and rejoice with you on this auspicious occasion of your 89th birthday.”

He, however, prayed that Almighty Allah continue to strengthen Chief Obasanjo to witness more years of absolute comforts on earth.
