Yari’s TRN showcases Tinubu’s achievements, cautions opposition against propaganda

The Renewed Hope Network (TRN), a group founded by former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has urged opposition figures in Nigeria to put aside grievances and objectively acknowledge what it described as the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across various sectors.

The group also cautioned Nigerians against what it called lies, propaganda, and deliberate distortions targeted at the President and his administration by opposition elements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking with journalists at a solidarity rally during the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, the leader of TRN’s technical committee, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, said the group mobilised thousands of supporters to the convention to demonstrate solidarity with the President and commend his administration’s performance.

He praised Senator Yari for establishing the network, describing it as a platform for promoting the achievements of the administration and strengthening grassroots engagement in support of the Renewed Hope agenda.

According to him, President Tinubu has demonstrated capacity, commitment, and a willingness to lead Nigeria towards prosperity through his policies and reforms.

“We call on opposition figures and those who feel aggrieved as a result of the ongoing re-engineering and rebuilding of Nigeria by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government to bury their anger and open their eyes to the benefits of the ongoing reforms,” he said.

He added that as the 2027 elections approach, Nigerians should be wary of misinformation and propaganda allegedly being spread by political opponents.

“We are using this medium to alert Nigerians that spin doctors, propagandists, and blackmailers are being engaged by opposition figures, but we believe the will of the people will always prevail because we are in the majority,” he said.

On the growing wave of defections to the APC, Ogenyi attributed it to what he described as confidence in the party’s direction, noting that several governors and political leaders were joining the ruling party in appreciation of President Tinubu’s leadership.

He also highlighted some of the administration’s achievements, claiming that insecurity has been reduced, the crisis with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been resolved, and students now benefit from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

He further stated that fuel availability has improved, inflation has declined, foreign reserves have risen, and Nigeria’s economy is experiencing steady growth under the current administration.

“We are set to mobilise Nigerians in support of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Network,” he added.
