…Lagos govt receives 24-car trains for Red Line Rail
The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has secured critical community support for the Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) Package 1, following a high-level engagement with critical stakeholders in Agboyi-Ketu.

The session finalised plans for the transformation of the Ketu Lay-by (Demurin Bound) into a world-class modern bus terminal.

The project, a critical component of the Ketu–Alapere–Akanimodo corridor, aims to eliminate traffic bottlenecks and provide a structured, dignifying environment for thousands of commuters.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has taken delivery of 24-car trains to strengthen operations on the Lagos Red Line rail services.

In a statement posted on his official X handle yesterday, Sanwo-Olu said that the delivery would improve capacity, reduce waiting times and make daily commuting easier for Lagos residents.

The governor further expressed commitment to building reliable infrastructure in the state, saying: “We remain focused on building a transport system that is efficient and reliable for everyone. That is still our goal.”
