The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogun State Chapter, has officially announced Dr. Biodun Collins Ogundipe as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections in the state.
Announcing the result in Abeokuta, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Adeniyi Adams, declared Ogundipe, popularly known as BCO, as the winner of the primary election after polling the highest number of votes.
According to the official results announced: Dr. Biodun Collins Ogundipe – 9,370 votes; Otunba Jimi Lawal (JAL) – 6,812 votes and Mrs. Marie Odusina – 2,349 votes.
The declaration of the result was witnessed by members of the electoral committee, representatives of security agencies including the DSS and the Nigeria Police Force, members of the media, party leaders, and party faithful across the state.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the declaration, Dr. Biodun Collins Ogundipe expressed profound appreciation to all members of the party for their support, commitment, and confidence in his candidacy.
Ogundipe stated that the primary election has come and gone and that the time has come for all members of the party to unite with a common purpose of winning the forthcoming governorship election in Ogun State.
He also extended a hand of fellowship to other aspirants, urging them and their supporters to see the project as a collective vision for the progress and development of Ogun State.
“We are one family in ADC. This is the time for unity, reconciliation, and collective commitment to victory. I call on all aspirants and members of our great party to join hands together so we can win the forthcoming election and deliver good governance to the people of Ogun State,” he said.
