Ahead of the nation’s political campaign season and its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM), members of the Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) is setting agenda for responsible sector.
Themed “OOH media in political campaign season: Policies, politics, and fair practice,” OAAN President Sola Akinsiku disclosed the event would explore ethical, professional, and regulatory considerations as the nation approaches another political campaign cycle.
Saying the three-day gathering would bring together practitioners, industry leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders to deliberate on issues shaping the future of the industry, he observed the AGM remains a vital forum for accountability, transparency, good governance, and collective decision-making within the association.
To him, the theme also reflects OAAN’s commitment to promoting professionalism, fairness, compliance with regulatory standards, and responsible advertising practices during political campaigns.
As the association’s highest statutory decision-making gathering, he added the AGM provides an important platform for members to review OAAN’s activities and achievements over the past year, receive reports from the executive council and various committees, deliberate on critical industry matters and adopt resolutions that will strengthen the association and advance sustainable growth of the Out-of-Home advertising industry.
He emphasised that members’ active participation is essential to shaping policies and strategies that would position the industry for continued relevance, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The executive council also expressed confidence that the 41st AGM will provide another valuable opportunity for members to strengthen professional collaboration, exchange ideas, and collectively chart a progressive path for the nation’s Out-of-Home media industry.
The event is scheduled to hold on August 8, 2026 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
