The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the immediate disengagement of Online Integrated Solution (OIS Services) as the operator responsible for collecting and submitting Nigerian visa applications in the United States.
According to a public notice issued on July 9, 2026, all prospective travelers and Nigerians in the U.S. who require visas to enter Nigeria must now submit their applications directly at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, D.C., or at the Nigerian Consulates in New York and Atlanta, pending further directives.
The NIS assured applicants that the Nigerian Embassy and its Consulates have put adequate measures in place to ensure the seamless submission, processing, and issuance of visas despite the transition.
Applicants have also been advised to monitor official communication channels of the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigerian Mission in the United States for further updates on visa application procedures.
The notice, signed by DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, Service Public Relations Officer, emphasized the Service’s commitment to efficient service delivery and thanked applicants for their understanding and cooperation during the transition.
