As millions across the world prepare for the annual Lion’s Gate Portal, Neuro Spirit Science Initiator and founder of the Manifest Growth Community, Femi Jubal, has described the period as a unique season for personal transformation, intentional living, and renewed alignment with nature’s cycles.
He explained that while the Lion’s Gate Portal is widely recognized in contemporary spiritual circles, it coincides with the heliacal rising of Sirius, the brightest star visible in the night sky after the Sun, an astronomical event that ancient civilisations reportedly used to mark seasonal changes and new beginnings.
“What your ancestors understood that many of us have forgotten is that certain seasons carry unique energy for realignment and breakthrough. The Lion’s Gate is one of those powerful portals,” Femi Jubal said.
He noted that several African civilisations demonstrated deep understanding of celestial and natural rhythms long before the emergence of modern calendars.
According to him, communities such as the Dogon of Mali, as well as the Akan, Yoruba and Igbo peoples, traditionally organized aspects of their cultural and communal life around seasons associated with harvest, renewal, purification and transition.
“Across Africa, our ancestors lived in harmony with nature’s cycles. They understood there are seasons for planting, seasons for harvest, and seasons for transformation. The Lion’s Gate invites us to remember and reclaim that wisdom,” he stated.
Femi Jubal further said the annual period serves as a reminder that renewal follows preparation, adding that humanity still has much to learn from observing natural patterns.
“The world may have modern calendars, but the heavens still speak. When Sirius rises, it reminds us that light follows darkness and renewal follows preparation,” he said.
He disclosed that in 2024, the Femi Jubal Manifest Growth Community launched what he described as one of Africa’s earliest contemporary community-wide celebrations of the Lion’s Gate season.
According to him, the initiative has continued to attract participants from different African countries and members of the diaspora through programmes combining neuroscience, astronomy, philosophy, African indigenous knowledge, leadership development and personal growth.
“Many religious organizations, educational institutions and leadership platforms instinctively gather people between late June and early September because they sense the power of this transitional window. We are simply making it conscious and intentional,” Femi added.
While noting that many adherents associate the period with expanded consciousness, creativity and intentional living, he maintained that its broader lesson extends beyond spirituality.
“Whether you approach it scientifically, spiritually or culturally, the Lion’s Gate teaches us that periods of deliberate reflection and focused action produce extraordinary results. Success belongs to those who recognize the season they are in,” he said.
Femi urged individuals to embrace periods of reflection and purposeful action, stressing that understanding life’s seasons remains essential for sustainable personal and collective development.
“Transformation has always belonged to those who recognize the season they are in and choose to act accordingly. Nature operates by laws and patterns ignoring them does not make them disappear,” he said.
The Lion’s Gate Portal has continued to attract growing global interest, with supporters viewing it as an opportunity for self-reflection, renewal and intentional growth, while its spiritual interpretations remain a matter of personal belief.
