President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been commended for appointing Dr. Abuh Mohammed as the Director-General of the National Population Commission (NPC).
In a statement in Lokoja yesterday, Charles described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Abuh’s unshakable commitment, vast experience and remarkable contributions to national development.
He noted that the appointment has further demonstrated President Tinubu’s resolve to identify and entrust competent and result-oriented Nigerians with strategic responsibilities aimed at advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
According to him, Dr. Abuh Mohammed possesses the requisite leadership qualities and administrative competence to reposition the National Population Commission and strengthen its role in national planning and development.
Mr. Charles expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Dr. Abuh Mohammed worthy of the prestigious appointment, stressing that the President’s confidence in capable Nigerians continues to inspire hope and deepen public trust in his administration.
He added that the appointment is a source of pride to the people and reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusiveness, merit and effective service delivery.
While wishing the new Director-General a successful tenure, Charles prayed that God would grant him wisdom, strength and good health as he assumes the responsibility of leading the commission to greater heights.
Untill his appointment last Tuesday, Dr. Abuh Mohammed is a technocrat and public servant hailing from Egume in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He works alongside Dr. Aminu Yusuf, who serves as the Chairman of the Commission. Together, they are tasked with managing Nigeria’s demographic data, vital registration, and steering the mandate for the upcoming national census.
