The Kwara South Senatorial District Candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Olalekan Adewoye has paid medical bills of two indigent patients on monthly medical expenses, amounting to N3.8 million in Kwara State.

The intervention secured the immediate discharge and continued care of the patients who had been weighed down by financial burden of treatments.

During his visit to the state University Teaching Hospital Ilorin, Adewoye also extended additional support of ₦1 million to other patients in the ward to assist with their feeding and other immediate welfare.

The beneficiaries described the intervention as: “a relief and renewed hope to them.”

Adewoye stated that his visit was a genuine demonstration of true leadership, explaining that: “genuine wealth are measured not by personal possessions, but by the positive impact they make on the lives of the less privileged, particularly in critical sectors like as healthcare.”

The Kwara South Senatorial Candidate emphasised that: “extending compassion and support to those in need is a fundamental responsibility of every leader committed to the well-being of society.”

He prayed for all other patients, seeking God’s divine healing, perfect health and speedy recovery to reunite with their families.

The atmosphere in the ward transformed when the politician arrive as patients, their families, and hospital staff expressed hope, profound gratitude, offering heartfelt prayers and words of appreciation for Adewoye’s generosity and kindness.

Medical personnel at the hospital commended Adewoye for the gesture, describing it as a significant humanitarian contribution that will go a long way in supporting indigent patients and encouraging others to emulate such kindness.

Adewoye has remained consistent in his philanthropic gestures across Kwara South, with interventions in healthcare support, education, empowerment and community development.
