Borno State Governor, Babagana  Zulum, has approved the appointments of four Special Advisers and a Senior Technical Assistant (STA) to strengthen and sustain the ongoing post-insurgency recovery projects across the state.

The governor said the five appointments are part of efforts of the state government to strengthen governance and accelerate the post-insurgency recovery drive of his administration.

The new Special Advisers are Engr. Ali Goni Lawan, Ali Sheriff Galgal, Bukar Aliyu Daja and Hob. Makinta Zarami.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the the Governor on Media, Dauda Iliya, said the appointments are pursuant to the powers conferred on the Governor under Section 196(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

Zulum also approved the appointment of Engr Gujja Bukar Dalori as the Senior Technical Assistant (STA) on Reconstruction.

The statement added that the appointments are aimed at reinforcing the administration’s commitment to effective governance, reconstruction and sustainable development after seventeen years of insurgency.

Zulum, therefore congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication and selfless service.

He also tasked them to deploy their wealth of experience and expertise to advance his administration’s vision of rebuilding communities, consolidating peace, and delivering quality service to the people of Borno state.
