Rotarian Anthony Olikagu has been installed as the 10th District Governor of Rotary International District 9141 at an elaborate ceremony held in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The installation ceremony, held on Saturday, marked the official handover from the outgoing District Governor, Rotarian Anthony Woghiren.

The event was witnessed by the President of Rotary International, Rotarian Olayinka Babalola, alongside other District Governors from across the country and hundreds of Rotarians.

In his address, District Governor Olikagu pledged to uphold Rotary’s ideals of “Service Above Self” and to drive impactful humanitarian projects across Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers covered by District 9141.

He commended his predecessor, Rotarian Woghiren, for his commitment and outstanding service during his tenure.

Outgoing DG Woghiren thanked members of the district for their support and urged them to give the same cooperation to the new leadership.

The ceremony featured the symbolic exchange of the collar of office other Rotary traditions, awards presentation to best Rotary clubs in the district and best Rotarian .
