The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has approved the reinstatement of Dr. Surajo Abdullahi Shinkafi as Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, with immediate effect.

This follows a careful review of the circumstances that led to his suspension.

The reinstated Rector is hereby directed to report to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and resume responsibilities as the substantive Rector of the Polytechnic.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Abubakar Mohammed, and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the capital.

Recall that the Rector was suspended following alleged financial misconduct in the institution.
