The Founder and Managing Director of Clearview Hospital, Dr Kunle Ajayi, has said the hospital has earned an enviable spot in delivering innovative and patient-centred healthcare to clients in the nine years of its operations, while reaffirming its commitment to expanding access to world-class medical services in Nigeria. Ajayi made these assertions in his remarks at the event held to celebrate the hospital’s ninth anniversary in Lagos.

Ajayi recalled that, in line with the vision he had in establishing the hospital nine years ago, the medical facility has been blazing the trail in combining cutting-edge technology, clinical excellence and affordable care.

According to him, the decision to locate the hospital in Lekki, rather than in a more familiar and less expensive environment, was driven by the desire to provide specialized healthcare services to a growing patient population in the area.

“Clearview was never an overnight project. It was born out of a long-held vision to create a healthcare institution that would provide advanced medical services while keeping quality care accessible to patients,” he said.

Over the past nine years, Clearview Hospital has grown from a modest practice with fewer than 10 employees operating from a single building into a comprehensive healthcare facility with more than 60 staff members spread across multiple buildings. The hospital now houses specialized units, including an advanced fertility centre, a modern operating theatre, paediatric services and the ultra-modern facility, the Clearview Aesthetics and Lifestyle Medicine (CALM) Clinic, launched on the event.

“The hospital has distinguished itself through the provision of advanced minimally invasive procedures, including hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, as well as a state-of-the-art In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) unit equipped with technologies such as Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), embryo biopsy laser systems and comprehensive embryo, egg and sperm cryopreservation services.”

The medical director noted that despite offering sophisticated medical services comparable to leading healthcare institutions, the hospital has consistently sought to keep its services cost-effective for patients.

Reflecting on the early years of the hospital, he acknowledged that access to finance posed one of the greatest challenges, as the business was largely self-funded before financial institutions became willing to provide support after the hospital had established a track record of success.
