Beta Glass bolsters local manufacturing drive with N79.7b revenue in H1

Beta Glass PLC

Beta Glass Plc, a glass packaging solution provider, has reaffirmed its critical role in Nigeria’s local industrial growth, delivering a strong revenue performance of N79.71 billion for the first half (H1) of 2026.

The company also assured of improved quality glass packaging solutions for the beverage, pharmaceutical, and food industries in West and Central Africa.

Releasing its unaudited interim financial statements for the six months ended 30 June 2026, the company said it is committed to innovation, sustainability, and delivering high-performance packaging solutions that support product integrity while promoting environmental responsibility.

Beta Glass recorded double-digit growth in the second quarter (Q2), generating N42.18 billion in revenue, a 13.8 per cent surge compared to the N37.07 billion recorded in Q2 2025. This strong Q2 performance lifted the company’s half-year revenue to N79.71 billion, representing a 1.9 per cent year-on-year increase from N78.23 billion in H1 2025.

Commenting on the results, the Chief Executive Officer of Beta Glass Plc, Alex Gendis, stated: “Our 13.8 per cent revenue growth in Q2 2026 was supported by sustained customer demand both locally and from export sales. Our underlying cost base remains well managed, but higher inbound logistics and input costs weighed on margins during Q2 2026. Going forward, our dynamic pricing model will account for these factors; we expect this to progressively support margin recovery over the second half of the year.

“Our H1 2026 performance is best understood against the base effect of 2025, when several key customers front-loaded a significant share of their annual requirements early in the year, creating an unusually strong comparative base. Adjusting for this, we remain on track to meet our full-year objectives and are trading ahead of our internal targets.”

“We continue to see solid demand across both our local and export markets and remain focused on delivering the highest quality glass products, operational excellence and service that our customers have come to expect from Beta Glass.”

The financial statement also revealed that, “Q2 2026 Profit After Tax remained solid at N8.35 billion, reflecting the company’s continued operational discipline and ability to navigate a dynamic operating environment. For H1 2026, the company recorded Profit After Tax of N16.16 billion.”
