Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has intensified its efforts to expand access to finance for residents and entrepreneurs across Lagos State, sensitising participants on its loan opportunities during an Application Readiness Exercise held in Igbe-Ilaara, Ikorodu.

The exercise held Oloja Road, Igbogbo-Ikorodu, provided residents and business owners with practical information on LSETF’s loan interventions, eligibility requirements and the steps involved in preparing and submitting applications.

The engagement was also attended by Chief Mrs. Ogunaike Folashade Adeola, Iyalaje of Igbe Kingdom, alongside members of her team, whose support contributed to the successful delivery of the programme.

Facilitated by LSETF Liaison Officers Ogunfeyinmi Ronke, Agbabiaka Anota, Oduegwu Samson and Aladekanye Temidayo, the exercise focused on equipping participants with the information and guidance required to make informed decisions about accessing financial support for their businesses.

The participants were taken through the various loan opportunities available under LSETF, with emphasis on how access to finance can enable entrepreneurs to expand their operations, increase productivity, strengthen business sustainability and create additional employment opportunities.

The Liaison Officers also provided detailed guidance on the application process and requirements, while participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on areas of concern.

The strong level of participation and engagement reflected the growing interest among residents and business owners in accessing LSETF interventions to strengthen and grow their enterprises.

Speaking during the exercise, the LSETF team emphasised the importance of application readiness, encouraging prospective beneficiaries to understand the requirements and ensure that they are adequately prepared before commencing the application process.

The exercise forms part of LSETF’s ongoing strategy of taking its interventions directly to communities across Lagos State. By engaging residents at the grassroots level, the Fund seeks to bridge information gaps and ensure that eligible entrepreneurs are aware of and better positioned to access available opportunities.

The community-based sensitisation initiative also reinforces LSETF’s broader mandate of supporting businesses, promoting entrepreneurship and driving sustainable job creation across Lagos State.

With continued engagement at the community level, LSETF remains committed to ensuring that more Lagosians are equipped with the information, resources and opportunities required to build sustainable businesses and contribute meaningfully to the State’s economic development.
