Several leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos have declared support for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the House of Representatives, Oba Fayemi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

They spoke during the inauguration of APM ward coordinators and Fayemi’s campaign team, where stakeholders from Ojo, Badagry, Apapa and other parts of Lagos State gathered to mobilise support for his candidacy.

Among them, the PDP state leader, John Agbaiye, said he remained a member and leader of the PDP but supported the cooperation between the PDP and APM.

Agbaiye said Fayemi was formerly a member of the PDP but moved to the APM after encountering difficulties in securing the party’s ticket, adding that PDP members in Ojo Local Council would support his candidacy.

Meanwhile, the APM has rescheduled the official commissioning of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office from September 3 to September 7, 2026.

Urging critical stakeholders and members to take note of the new date and make the necessary arrangements to attend, the National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, said the change was necessary following the earlier announcement of September 3 as the commissioning date.
