Abia NDC rekindles ‘Obi Wave’ slogan

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)

…‎Says Campaign Logistics, Funds  ready

‎The ‎Abia State Nigeria Democratic Congress ( NDC ) Chapter  has rekindled the  ‘ Obi Wave ‘ , a slogan that widely sold Mr Peter Obi to the Nigeria electorate during his  2023 presidential electioneering campaigns when he was  the candidate of the Labour Party.

The rekindling was resurrected by the party’s  Abia North senatorial candidate for the 2027 election Rt. Hon Uko Nkole during the party’s Zonal Stakeholders and Candidates for the elections meeting  held at the  Onuaku Uturu Isuikwuato  Council country home of the party’s state  governorship candidate for the 2027 election Chief Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah.

‎Hon. Uko  Nkole who  emphasized the need for cohesion  and discipline  in the party to secure its  victory in the coming elections,  stated that  Peter Obi remains the major selling point of the NDC  and  that the “Obi wave” will be fully felt again  in the 2027 general elections.

‎The Governorship candidate, Chief Ndubisi Etugo Ogah who  called for peace and unity, in the party ,  noting that the period for internal contest for the party  tickets was over, stressed that ” NDC has come to give Abia North zone  the opportunity to produce the next Governor of Abia State in 2027 , an opportunity he posited,  was  denied  Abia North zone in 2023″.

‎He; therefore charged all the party faithfuls to collaborate  in the  bid to install   an  NDC government in Abia State through  the 2027 election, and  replace the  extant Labour Party  government , that he described  as “a government of deceit.”

‎He assured the  stakeholders that all  the logistics and funding required for the NDC  electioneering  campaigns for the 2027 elections will be provided in due time, and  directed  that all  the party candidates  for the elections should  align strictly with the  campaign pattern.

‎Chief Ogah explained  that doing so ,  is to ensure that all campaign materials reflect the joint branding of  ” Peter Obi, himself ( Ogah ) , his Deputy  ( Bright Alaribe) and all other NDC candidates as a strategy to cross-sell the party”.

‎According to the State  NDC Publicity Secretary ,  Mr  Emeka Luis Okoro, ” the  Stakeholders meeting successfully strengthened internal coordination, consolidated mobilization structures, and aligned campaign strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections, while
‎the  governorship candidate, (Chief Ogah ) thanked the participants for attending the meeting,  and prayed for the  party’s succeses in the coming elections.
