Pressdia supported the successful delivery of the Ibadan Creators Summit 2026 as a media partner, amplifying an event that brought about 3,500 creators, entrepreneurs and creative professionals together in Ibadan.
Held on September 5 at 3–5 Harvesters Drive, Ring Road, Ibadan, the summit was organised around the theme “Build. Monetize. Scale.” and focused on equipping creators to develop their skills, earn from their work and build sustainable careers.
As media partner, Pressdia expanded the summit’s reach and visibility, drawing greater attention to Ibadan’s growing creator community and the opportunities developing within the city’s creative economy.
The event, convened by Amb. Dr Adesola Adeyemi, featured conversations around creative growth, monetisation, career development and collaboration, while also giving participants an opportunity to connect with other creators and professionals.
One of the major outcomes of the summit came through the attendance of the Oyo State governorship candidate of the APM, who sponsored 50 youths and creators to train with BizLift Academy as professional digital marketers.
The training opportunity extended the impact of the gathering beyond the event itself, giving selected participants access to practical skills that can support employment, entrepreneurship and their creative careers.
Adeyemi described the successful conclusion of the summit as fulfilling, particularly after seeing the level of participation from creators across the city.
“I am genuinely happy with how the summit turned out. The intention was to create a space where creators in Ibadan could come together, learn, connect and leave with a clearer sense of what they can do next with their skills. Seeing thousands of people show up and engage with that vision was deeply fulfilling,” he said.
The summit featured Salem King, Stella Matthew, Balogun Danjuma, Tessy Olotta, Kemi Deborah, Folashade Ogunyemi, Hon. Seyi Adisa, Samuel Okike, Folake Mighty, Adebayo Ibrahim, Alamu Akinkunmi, Ajoke Lasisi, Victoria Ajiboye, Ayo Adams, Babatunmise Agboola, Olivia Umeh, The Coach and Hon. Akinshete.
Beyond the formal sessions, the gathering created room for creators to exchange ideas, build professional relationships and connect with potential collaborators across different areas of the creative industry.
Tobiloba Akanni, a representative of Pressdia, said the turnout and interactions at the summit reflected the strength of the creative community developing in Ibadan.
“The summit showed what can happen when creators are given the right space to learn, meet one another and build meaningful connections. It was exciting to see so many people sharing ideas, discovering opportunities and engaging with conversations that could move their work forward,” she said.
She added that Pressdia’s involvement was also driven by the importance of giving creative communities greater visibility beyond established industry centres.
“There is valuable creative work happening in cities like Ibadan, and that work deserves to be seen. Supporting the summit gave us an opportunity to contribute to a platform that is opening up more visibility and possibilities for creators within the city,” she added.
The successful delivery of the summit was also backed by organisations that came on board as sponsors, contributing to an engaging gathering for thousands of creators.
StudyPlace served as the headline sponsor, reinforcing the summit’s focus on creators building sustainable careers from their skills.
Other sponsors included Samdech, ALT Bank, Topmind Fans, UAC Foods, Tradestack, MyCityApp, Jogor Hotel and Bimolara International Hospital.
The successful conclusion of the Ibadan Creators Summit placed renewed attention on the potential of the city’s creator economy and the opportunities that can emerge when creators have access to stronger networks, practical knowledge and wider visibility.
