Top FIFA-licensed football agent and sports branding strategist, Dr. Drew Uyi, has been named a guest speaker at the Africa Football Business Summit 2026, scheduled for October 22 and 23 in Accra, Ghana.

Uyi, founder and managing director of DD Eleven Group Ltd, will join football executives, industry professionals and other stakeholders at the two-day summit at the Alisa Hotel.

The Football Foundation for Africa, organisers of the summit, announced Uyi’s participation, describing him as a professional with experience in player representation, athlete branding and commercial development.

Registered with The Football Association in England, Uyi has worked with professional footballers, coaches and clubs on player transfers, contract negotiations, endorsements and other commercial opportunities.

His participation is expected to focus on the commercial development and international visibility of African football talent.

A key theme of the summit is how African football can retain and capture a greater share of the economic value generated by players developed on the continent while creating opportunities beyond performances on the pitch.

Uyi has consistently advocated stronger personal branding and commercial positioning for African athletes, arguing that footballers should be developed not only as sporting talents but also as globally marketable brands capable of attracting sponsorships, endorsements and long-term commercial partnerships.

The organisers said his experience at the intersection of football representation and branding would add to discussions on building a more commercially sustainable African football ecosystem.

Announcing his participation, the Football Foundation for Africa said Uyi would contribute to discussions on “building a football economy where African talent creates greater value — on and beyond the pitch.”

The Africa Football Business Summit 2026 will bring together leading voices to discuss the business, investment and commercial future of African football.
