The Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN) will mark its 30th anniversary with a two-day event in Lagos on October 6 and 7, 2026, featuring an awards night and dinner to recognise contributions to the capital market.

The event, themed, “Three Decades of Catalysing Capital, Pioneering the Future and Enabling Wealth,” will bring together stakeholders from the capital market, financial services industry, business community and government.

The main event, the 30th Anniversary Awards Night and Dinner, is scheduled for October 7, with past members of the AIHN Executive Committee, former directors-general of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and clients of the association expected to attend.

The AIHN Executive Committee, on behalf of the association’s membership, described the anniversary as a significant milestone in its history, highlighting its members’ contributions to capital mobilisation, investment and business financing over the past three decades.

“For three decades, AIHN and its members have played an important role in mobilising capital, facilitating investments, supporting businesses and governments in accessing funding, and contributing to the growth and evolution of Nigeria’s financial markets,” the committee said.

It said the anniversary would also recognise the individuals, institutions and partnerships that have contributed to the development of the capital market.

The awards will recognise achievements across the investment banking and capital market ecosystem, with categories including Best Debt Capital Market House of the Year, Best Equity House of the Year, Best Mergers and Acquisitions House of the Year and Best Investment Bank of the Year, among others.

The event is also expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to review the capital market’s development and strengthen business relationships.

Issuing houses are financial institutions that advise companies and governments on raising funds through the capital market.
