Get Guardian on GoogleSenator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dafinone urged party supporters to strengthen their political structures and sustain engagement with voters to ensure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
He made the call when he received members of the United Mandate for Dafinone, Ethiope West Chapter, led by its Coordinator, Comrade Godstime Robinson Efetobor Otubu, at his residence.
The senator commended the group for its loyalty and sustained support, noting that its members had been part of his political journey since 2013.
He acknowledged the importance of grassroots organisations in building a strong political base, mobilising voters and consolidating electoral support for the party.
Dafinone urged members to remain united, committed and focused on the collective objective of strengthening the APC in Delta Central and across the state.
He specifically called for intensified mobilisation in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid, Oborevwori’s second-term ambition, his own return to the Senate and the re-election of the member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.
He also urged the group to extend its mobilisation efforts to other APC candidates, stressing the need for a coordinated campaign capable of delivering victory across the various elective positions.
The senator’s appeal underscores the growing importance of grassroots political structures as parties begin to consolidate their support bases ahead of the 2027 general elections.
For the APC in Delta State, sustained mobilisation at the ward and local government levels is expected to play a significant role in translating party support into electoral votes.
