The Etex Group has appointed seasoned business executive, Peju Adebajo, as the Managing Director of Nigerite Limited and Emenite Limited, ushering in a new phase of leadership for the two building materials companies.
According to a statement, Adebajo succeeds Denis Simonin, whose six-year tenure was credited with driving the growth and development of the businesses in Nigeria.
With more than three decades of experience spanning financial services, manufacturing, building materials and corporate governance, Adebajo brings extensive leadership expertise to her new role.
She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the boards of Wolseley Jersey Ltd and FCMB Group Plc. She is a member of the World Economic Forum‘s Global Future Council on Climate and Nature Governance.
It stated that her previous leadership positions include Chief Executive Officer of Lumos Nigeria, Managing Director of Lafarge Africa Plc, Chief Executive Officer of Mouka Limited, and Chief Executive Officer of UTC Nigeria Plc. She also held senior management roles at UBA Group, Boston Consulting Group and Citibank.
Speaking on her appointment, Adebajo expressed appreciation for the opportunity to lead the companies and pledged to build on the existing foundation while driving innovation and operational excellence.
The Etex Group said the appointment underscores its commitment to strengthening the market leadership of Nigerite and Emenite through innovation, operational excellence and customer-focused solutions.
