Axxela Limited, a gas and power portfolio company in sub-Saharan Africa, has received the ‘Outstanding Gas Company of the Year’ award.
The award is in recognition of the company’s significant investments and contributions to the energy landscape in 2024.
The award, presented at the Energy Times Excellence Awards in Lagos, reflects Axxela’s commitment to expanding energy access for industries through vast investments in natural gas infrastructure development and an expansive pipeline network across regions, enabling industrial growth and advancing Nigeria’s broader energy aspirations.
Commenting on the award, Axxela’s Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Ononiwu, highlighted the award’s significance.

The Editor-in-Chief and organiser of the Energy Times Award, Kayode Ekundayo, stated that the editorial board conducted a rigorous selection process to identify the most deserving individuals and organisations within Nigeria’s energy industry.
