CIPM emphasises place of excellence at mega awards
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating excellence in all forms.
President and Chairman of the Governing Council, CIPM, Olusegun Mojeed said this during the institute’s maiden mega awards, held recently, with the theme ‘Rewarding Excellence: A Culture of Exceptional People Management Practices’.
He said while it was important to reward excellence, it was also important to appreciate those who through their collective efforts and commitments had made the difference.
He said the mega awards stood as a testament to the dedication and excellence that define the Human Resource (HR) profession.
According to him, it is a celebration of those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in advancing the people management agenda.
He reiterated that the CIPM remains committed to honouring and celebrating individuals and organisations that continue to drive the profession forward.
Chairman of the selection committee, Collins Edebiri, said the awards, which span across various categories, acknowledged diverse facets of excellence within the HR field, from legacy and lifetime achievements to leadership excellence, innovation, creativity and service excellence.
According to him, the selection process was meticulously conducted to ensure fairness and transparency as the nomination was open to all, allowing the community to nominate those who have truly made an impact.
Among those honoured included the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu for his exemplary leadership and steadfast support for the people management profession as well as MTN, Total Energies and Shuttlers and Seamless HR, being recognised for their exceptional business leadership and unwavering support and partnership with the institute.
