Over 250 business leaders and top government officials are set to address issues of investment for the next generation of entrepreneurs in the country.

Disclosing this at a media briefing, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Endeavor Nigeria, Tosin Faniro-Dada, said investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs was vital, if the country’s economy must grow, noting that entrepreneurs were key in the growth of every nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

She said the Endeavor Nigeria’s fourth entrepreneurship summit, which will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel on October 13, 2022, would have stakeholders discussing the topic ‘Building Big Bubbles, Investing in the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs.’

Faniro-Dada described ‘big bubbles’ as successful entrepreneurs, who have invested their time and resources, including capital in the next generation of entrepreneurs.

“We are already seeing a few big bubbles in our market today like Mitchell Elegbe from Interswitch, Tayo Oviosu from Paga, Gbenga Agboola from Flutterwave and Odun Eweniyi from Piggyvest.

“These entrepreneurs are investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs in our ecosystem,” she added.

MEANWHILE, the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Alitheia Capital, Tokunbo Ishmael, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Endeavor Nigeria.

Faniro-Dada said Ishmael’s appointment as the board member would add tremendous value, as well as a unique perspective to the team with her over 20 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, venture capital, technology and business development in Africa, Europe and North America.

“She is an inspiration to the digital ecosystem and we are certain she will add tremendous value as well as a unique perspective to the team with her over 20 years of experience in private equity and venture capital in Africa.

“Ishmael will join Endeavor Nigeria’s board members, which include Atedo Peterside, the Board Chairman and Bolaji Balogun, as Board Vice-Chairman, among others,” according to Faniro-Dada.
