Plans are underway for The Alternative Business School (TABS) to draw the attention of government and business leaders to the need to lead discussions on repositioning businesses for nation-building.

The conference, TABS said, was important especially as Nigeria prepared to mark its 60th anniversary on October 1, 2020.

The conference tagged, “The 7000 Conference”, according to the Founder, Dr. Esther Longe, “was borne out of the need to recognise and equip the critical minority, who are essential to pioneering the change that we want to see in our nation.”

She said the conference, which would start with the government edition, aims at highlighting, showcasing, and celebrating key individuals in government, business, and the New Wineskin church, who upheld the tenets of righteousness and justice in their service to humanity.

“That is why we are starting with the Government Edition. As Nigeria’s 60th birthday is around the corner, there is an urgency to begin to refocus the minds of those who will attend the conference and Nigerians into the direction of transformative nation-building,” she added.

Longe said speakers for the inaugural conference have been strategically selected to share their authentic story of pursuing their passion for nation-building and modelling righteousness in their activities as public service leaders.

She further explained that the conference would adopt a Ted Talk format and would hold at a well-equipped venue for sound production and transmission, while there will be a live studio audience of a limited number of selected guests.

Speakers at the event include Special Adviser to the President on the Ease of Doing Business, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, who is the Keynote Speaker; Co-Founder, Sahara Group, Tonye Cole; Director, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund and Co-Founder ElectHER, Abosede George-Ogan; member representing AFIJIO State Constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly, Seyi Adisa; and National Chairman, Alliance for New Nigeria, Emmanuel Dania, among others.
