ICA appoints new council member
The Institute of Credit Administration (ICA), now National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), has appointed Dr. Akintoye Akindele into the governing council of the institute.
In a statement, the institute said the appointment is expected to strengthen the board and inject new vigour. Akindele brings on board long experience as a lecturer, nurturer and builder of future minds at leading schools in Africa and globally.
Akindele is the founder and chairman of Platform Capital, Chairman of Unicorn Group and founder and chief executive of Duport Midstream (the first energy park in Africa), among others.
He was awarded African Business Leader of the year 2022 by African Leadership Organisation and a Business Accessibility and Inclusion Champion by the African Women’s Development and Communications Network.
Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NICA, Prof. Chris Onalo, congratulated Akindele on the new appointment, stating that his coming on board, demonstrates NICA’s commitment to leverage a team of talented professionals with requisite experience.
