IJSRMT honours Nigeria-US based environmentalist

Temitope Bakare-Abidola, a second-year Ph.D. student in Environmental Science at Georgia Southern University, United States, has been honoured with the International Best Reviewer Award for Most Constructive Feedback by the International Journal of Scientific Research and Modern Technology (IJSRMT).

Bakare-Abidola, who in 2023, secured a fully funded scholarship to study Environmental Science at Georgia Southern University after completing her master’s degree at Lagos State University, has a proven track record of academic excellence, research contributions, and professional achievements.

The IJSRMT award accompanies her appointment as a reviewer and judge on the journal’s editorial board, granting her an influential role in shaping academic discourse and advancing research integrity.

Bakare-Abidola’s research focuses on water quality management, environmental contaminants, wastewater treatment, and sustainable environmental practices. In addition to her research, she serves as a Teaching and Research Assistant at Georgia Southern University in Georgia, USA, and also has a solid background from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria, where she mentored students and contributed to advancing environmental science education.

She has made significant contributions to the scientific community through her numerous publications in reputable journals. Her research spans critical areas such as heavy metal contamination, wastewater treatment, chemometric analysis, biosensors for disease detection and smart city waste management solutions. Her work includes studies on the environmental assessment of abattoir wastewater, the challenges of PFAS detection in Africa, the application of GUMBOS-magnetic alginate beads for dye removal, and innovative approaches to intelligent waste volume management. Her research has contributed to advancing environmental risk assessment and sustainable solutions for pollution control.

Her leadership in management consulting has been further solidified through the attainment of the Fellowship (Highest Honour) of the Management Consultant Professional Institute, recognising her exceptional academic and professional standing and commitment to upholding and promoting the highest global standards in management consulting practice, ethics, competency and client service.

Additionally, she has obtained the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) Certification, an internationally recognised credential accredited by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), affirming her expertise in strategic consulting, organisational management and problem-solving across various industries. Furthermore, she has also received an additional Certified Management Specialist (CMS) certificate in Time Management from the London Graduate School, further strengthening her credentials as a top-tier consultant.
