Institute confers fellowship on members

The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) has conferred Honorary Fellows to deserving members for their monumental achievements as exceptional leaders whose contributions have significantly shaped Nigeria’s urban and regional development.

The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) has conferred Honorary Fellows to deserving members for their monumental achievements as exceptional leaders whose contributions have significantly shaped Nigeria’s urban and regional development.
 
The investiture ceremony took place during the commencement of the institute’s yearly conference and general meeting in Enugu State.  In his address, Chairman of the College of Fellows, Donatus Obialo, emphasised the importance of the fellows’ role in upholding the integrity of the institute, urging the new fellows to lead by example to protect the image of the institute and the planning profession.
 
Similarly, the National President of the NITP, Nathaniel Atebije charged the new fellows with maintaining high ethical standards in both their professional and personal lives.
  
Among those recognised was General Theophilus Danjuma who was recognised for his ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and urban development, particularly through his greening initiatives in Abuja.
