NBA names ad hoc committee members to aid service delivery
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has published a list of the membership of standing and ad-hoc committees to aid its service delivery. President, NBA, Olumide Akpata, in a statement, said the list aims to create a functional association that works for the members and the society.
He said the team had been working diligently to implement and deliver on programmes and policies to actualise the core objectives of the association.
Apata added that decentralisation of the roles is because National Officers cannot undertake and fully implement programmes alone.
He explained that the NBA constitution also empowered the National Executive Committee (NEC) to constitute ad-hoc committees to deal with issues and matters as circumstances may dictate.
The committees set up are judiciary, remuneration, welfare, legal education, human rights, public interest litigation, anti-corruption committee among others.
