Presco receives CSR award for 2016, 2017
Presco Plc has been declared winner of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agriculture award for two years covering 2016 and 2017.At a ceremony held in Lagos, Presco Plc was announced winner ahead of other nominees such as British America Tobacco of Nigeria (BAAT), Okomu Oil Plc, Nestle Plc and Olam.
The Nigeria Agriculture Awards (NAA) committee said that Presco’s CSR focuses on the provision of educational infrastructure and scholarships, road maintenance, provision of electricity, potable water supply and other essential services for its host communities.
Tony Uwajeh who received the award on behalf of the company explained that Presco remains committed to its CSR Policy as a way of giving back to the environment in which it operates.The award citation read that in the past two years, Presco impacted positively on its host communities and environs in critical areas.
