Redeemer’s University appoints Akindele new registrar

The Governing Council, Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State has appointed Olukayode Emman Akindele as the new Registrar of the institution.

The Governing Council, Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State has appointed Olukayode Emman Akindele as the new Registrar of the institution.

Akindele became the new registrar after a rigorous selection and recruitment process by the council.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology in 1988.

He also holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti in 2005.
Akindele started his career in the World Bank Assisted programme in Ondo State Agricultural Development Project, Akure from 1990-1996 and later Ekiti State Agricultural Development Programme, Ikole-Ekiti between 1996 and 1998.  He also worked with the Leventis
Foundation Nigeria Agricultural School, Ilesha, Osun State in 1998 and thereafter had a brief stay with Petroleum Trust Fund (Special) Rural Water Supply Programme till 2000.

In 2001, he joined the services of the Ekiti State University as an Administrative Officer I where he rose through the ranks to the post of Deputy Registrar in 2015.

As a versatile administrator, he had worked at the various units of the Registry of his former university such as Establishment Unit, Registrar’s Office, Student Affairs, Examinations and Records and the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.  He was also the Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies, between 2013 and 2015.

In 2016, he had the privilege of spending a year on visiting appointment to Wesley University, Ondo, where he served as Deputy Registrar in charge of Academic Affairs and Senate Matters.
