Sanlam Alliance General Insurance has appointed Jacqueline Agweh as its substantive Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer to strengthen leadership and accelerate operational performance.

According to the firm, Agweh, a seasoned insurance professional with over three decades of industry experience, takes the helm at a time of strategic transition within the sector.

It said her expertise spans underwriting, claims management, reinsurance, broking, life assurance and technical operations, which positions her to steer the company through a rapidly evolving regulatory and competitive landscape.

Before her elevation, she served as the company’s Executive Director, Technical Operations.

She previously held senior management roles at FBN General Insurance (Now Sanlam General Insurance), Ossis Insurance Plc, Kelsan Insurance Brokers Limited and ACEN Insurance Limited.

A fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (FCIIN), Agweh is an alumna of the Lagos Business School (SMP 69) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos.
