UniAbuja recognises alumnus over youth empowerment

The University of Abuja has recognized one of its alumnus, Toyin Oyekanmi for his contributions to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development through his creative works.

The University of Abuja has recognized one of its alumnus, Toyin Oyekanmi for his contributions to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development through his creative works.

Specifically, the institution acknowledged his work, a short film titled ‘Visibility Zero’ as contributing to creativity and entrepreneurship development in the institution.

The vice chancellor, University of Abuja, Prof. M.U. Adikwu while presenting an award of recognition as the institution’s most creative alumnus for the year 2016 to Oyekanmi during the graduate empowerment training summit said the movie has gone viral in the school and has inspired and stimulated the creativity and passion of the student body at large.

Organising Committee President, Graduate Empowerment Training Summit, Tayo Folorunsho also said: “We want to specially appreciate your short movie titled VISIBILITY ZERO and its value to employment. The movie has gone viral in the school and has inspired and stimulated the creativity and the passion of the student’s body at large”.

Oyekanmi was a recipient of the ‘most outstanding president in the university during his tenure as TASA president in 2011 based on his contribution to creativity and entrepreneurship development in the institution.
