Twenty-two year-old, University of Portsmouth graduate, Chukwubuikem Oguzie, who is popular as Dotche has dropped an Afro pop album titled Gidi Wave, which he said was inspired by the contrasting life in Lagos.

Produced by Oz Benzinho, Gidi Wave captures in its entirety what the average Lagosian experiences daily in the modern time.

Dotche who is originally from Imo but who was born and raised in Lagos, says his style of music is influenced by the typical street lyrics that is popular in Lagos. “It is influenced by the typical street lyrics of Eko that we have all come to savour and it is different,” he says adding “It is undeniably going to be a new scintillating moment for music lovers in Nigeria and Diaspora as Dotche’s Gidi Wave have been produced in a manner that it would continue to reverberate through people’s mind as they skim through the ever bustling streets of Lagos.’’
